Welcome to EP 28 of the Talkin Toowoomba podcast. This week we are out and about learning about our local farmers markets, we will be talking to Teryl, from Platter of Fact, about some of her amazing offerings.

The Council’s community visits on a Friday have begun again, the next ones are now Sept 11.
 
The council has released a compilation of historical landmarks, as part of a book called the Toowoomba Heritage self drive Tour.
 
Learn more about Toowoomba’s history grab a copy from council customer service centres or the Visitor Information centres throughout the region.
 
The Strand picture theatre is open again, welcome back guys!
 
Congratulations to both The Empire theatre and The Met Hotel, who have received a $20,000 grant each from the Qld State government.
 
So more great music at the Met and the Qld Ballet in September at the Empire
 
And lastly the Toowoomba group SES, new headquarters has been officially opened at Charlton, in the new Council Depot precinct.

Thursday Aug 27 Google Your Business Digital Marketing for success, 06:00 pm till 07:30 pm at the Oaks Hotel, hosted by the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce.

Friday August 28 sees live music at The Met Hotel 8pm till 11:30 pm featuring Venice on Fire
 
Saturday the 29th sees Community Tree Planting day, in Pittsworth and Middle Ridge Toowoomba, 08:30 till 11:30 at both places.
